Batesville Casket Company In 1906, John A. Hillenbrand purchased the Batesville Casket Company. It has since grown from a small, local business into the casket industry leader with six manufacturing plants and more than 80 distribution centers across North America – all dedicated to helping families honor the lives of those they love®. Funeral directors and their client families rely on Batesville for burial and cremation products constructed to the highest quality standards. K-Tron K-Tron International, Inc., is a New Jersey corporation founded in 1964 that is a leading global provider of bulk solids material handling equipment and systems for a wide variety of manufacturing and other industrial processes, particularly in the plastics, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, power generation, coal mining, pulp and paper, and wood and forest products industries. The company serves these customers through two product lines, which focus on feeding and pneumatic conveying equipment (the Process Group) and on size reduction equipment, conveying systems and screening equipment (the Size Reduction Group). K-Tron has manufacturing facilities in the United States, Switzerland and the People's Republic of China, and its equipment is sold and serviced throughout the world.

Kenneth A. Camp began his career with Hillenbrand on April 1, 1981, when he joined Batesville Casket Company. He served in various assignments in sales and marketing then quickly began to make his mark in executive roles as vice president of strategy and business development, marketing and new product development, then sales and service. In the mid-1990s, Camp was senior vice president of operations and became the driving force to make lean business and continuous improvement an integral part of the Batesville culture.
In 2001, Camp was named president and CEO of Batesville Casket Company. The casket organization was a sister company to Hill-Rom, a medical technology company also headquartered in Batesville, Indiana. In 2008, the two organizations separated. Hillenbrand Industries became Hill-Rom Holdings, and Batesville Casket formed its own publicly traded entity, Hillenbrand, Inc. Ken was named president and CEO of the new company and took a seat on its board of directors. He also serves on the board for the Manufacturer’s Alliance (MAPI) in Washington, DC.
